Place: Baran Café
Burger: Burger
Points: 5.2 out of 6
Reviewer: Me
Sizes: Only one: Not stated but good size for prize (125nok)! No less than 180g I would think.
Menu description: Well, I only looked at the writing on the wall and there it simply said Burger.
Nano review: Very tasty burger of sympathetic size if one is starving! The texture of it not in the same bracket as we have found in Cafe Opera and the pub Inside, but as tasty and larger (I think) and cheaper so do well in the burgerace. Also fried potato boats (thank god, no attempt to make French fries) may be the best encountered. Salad and whatever type of dressing there where was pretty dull, may have made me apply more salt than I normally would.
Others: Very cozy place, not big but seems seldom to be crowded. And kitchen open when many have closed, saved me from go hungry to bed this night.
Serving time: Not lighting fast, if I had beer I could very well been into to second one but within acceptable limits.
Website: I do not think so.
Binary, would I consider having it again?: Yes particular considering it’s availability late and sympathetic price.
Burger gets 0.2 points for being there for me. Me and the usual suspects had gone to a new place called ‘Roll & Rock’ for burger sampling. An USA styled place open in two months but burgers still only words on the menu! To make thing worse was out of chicken food when it was my turn to order. I was forced to drink only beer looking at happy chicken eating friends. Luckily enough I am pretty okey in most situations there be beer. But on my way home the hunger hit bad but then this surprise burger happen to come by ![]()

Shot of me that evening by Francesca (presentation by Morten), probably shortly after learned that the ‘American burger place’ had no burgers!
It’s sort of ironic that this burgerlicious shot, for once, is not accompanied by a beer, since Baran has quite a large selection of beers
Cool shot, looks very tempting. I have a confession to make, I stopped by at McD and picked up a Quarterpounder on my way home :O
superb light and warm tones. tis looks delicious!
I agree with alex, very cool and well done shot. hilarious writeup. fave
